I don't know why I like Uncanny more than everyone else right now. I liked all the parts you did in SI (well, those and Howard the Duck apparently capping a Skrull), but still found it underwhelming. Abhay at Savage Critic did a good job dissecting why it doesn't work as an action comic:

Also, it's nice to know that there's someone who reads more comics than I do.

I liked SI so much mostly because it was everything I want in a fight comic. The overall story is lacking, but fun combinations of heroes talking smack and having cool moments? I'm there. I suppose I go through cycles with this kind of stuff. I had no interest when it was HoM or Civil War, but really dug it in Onslaught. Its been a few years since I had fun with these (not counting Annihilation, which is a whole different level), so perhaps I enjoyed it a bit too much.

I still like Beetle, but it was essentialy my favorite book, so since I merely like it now. That's quite a drop.

I will not back off the horrors that are the brutalizing of the already soap opera X-continuity. I mean, we needed	MORE conspiracy in Wolverine's backstory? Really?

Thanks for the kind words gentlemen.

First off, welcome back.

But really, you enjoyed Secret Invasion that much? I thought it was a jumbled mess and had a hard time understanding what was being conveyed in the panels.

You'd probably appreciate Submit more if you knew that that the central character was the new Tattooed Man.

And you really think that Blue Beetle has dropped off that much? I think that Sturges has really stepped up to the plate smashingly.

But again, welcome back.

"In a ridiculous rewrite, apparently Wolvy joined the X-Men after trying to kill Xavier (just like Ultimate X-Men, but now in all new poorly conceived flavor!) and Xavier brainwashing him."

Thank you!

I realize in my latest column I've backed off that one a little bit, if only because of how nefarious Department H has always been depicted...but I'm gonna be glad to see that pointed out whenever and wherever possible.
